I go through seasons where I just cannot commit and finish to a book to save my left big toe!
However, due to the fact that I cannot buy anything for myself on my non-budget except for food...and books...I randomly went to the local (Treehorn Books, in Santa Rosa) used bookstore and yep, bought 2 books.
I read the first 3rd or so of this book:
Positively 4th Street by David Hajdu.
It's about the life and times of Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Mimi Baez Farina, and Richard Farina.
Alas, I am sorry Mr. Farina--my tilde skilz are lacking. I love tildes. Nice, useful accent that is pretty too. But my Spanish keyboard and I do not seem to play well together. Probably my fault, actually.
It takes place "around" 1945ish-1966ish or so, and follows up a little further down the road.
Very fast reading, very absorbing.
