I am now officially declaring one of my summer habits :
Ice chai.
I love it.
Sure, I've loved chai since the 1970's, when some people from the 3HO (Healthy Happy Holy Organization) -- Western Sikhs-- taught me to make it wayyyy back in 1977.
This summer I just seem to crave it extra bad. I've had Tazo and Oregon chai, I kind of favor Tazo, myself.
I've probably had other brands as well.
Amd Haagen Dasz chai ice cream--that's one of those perfect ice cream flavors!
I tried coconut&pineapple ice cream with chai, just now, it is pretty darn good. But delicious? That's black cherry ice cream and chai.
It's kinda odd, because I'd never drink coffee at this hour, if it wasn't decaf, but here I just drank some caffeinated chai --yikes.
My dream cafe is now a combination really good Mexican cafe and a great espresso bar and bakery with some good salads, and now it must include lots lots lots of chai. I would hire a chai maestro, I would!! Everything that is supposed to go with chai, also! From curry to ice cream!
