The weather right now is perfection.
It was around 82 probably at the warmest, and walking home in twilight, it went from probably around 78ish to 74ish and it was heavenly!
I also had a lovely "dunch" dinner-lunch? Garlic bread and pesto over cheese raviolis, and picked up ( after a
hiatus) Aliette De Bodard's Servant of the Underworld. As an extra bonus--I didn't have to feel any lag of the hiatus from reading it, it was immediately memorable as to what happened before, and her book is obviously good for my brain cells!
I want an Acatl mystery TV show! There are millions of Aztecs, and probably 10-20% of those can act, and maybe 48% of those are men, and maybe 10% are around the right age ( late 20's?) for Acatl, and ahha! That's what, around 2,000 possible Acatls out there! Of course, some it is a little on the gory and gruesome side, but that what my hands in front of face are for ;)
I hope somebody wonderful in Mexico in their business of show also reads Ms. De Bodard's books , and they can make a a Prime Suspect/ The Wire caliber of priestly magical Aztecan murder mystery series.
Myself, I'd vote against the US treatment. Mexico deserves their own Cadfael!
I also just got a carmelita bar, and iced soy chai latte with a shot of espresso, so I might just have enough energy tonight to do I don't know what! A carmelita bar is an oat bar with a caramel filling and is generally really good.
I also love "dirty" chai. However, warning...that's a lot of caffeine there!!
