Is what's sometimes called power chai or dirty chai...
It's a shot of espresso in chai.
Peets has a blended drink, a chai freddo, and to put a shot of espresso in it omfg.
It's delish.
It probably has like 175 mg of caffeine. And even though the barista advised me it was fairly popular, it's an odd taste, but I love it. I think I'd like to try a mocha-chai freddo...and a iced chai-mocha.
One of the first times I drank chai was some sort of chai / vanilla ice cream concoction which might have also been mocha ...but it was good. It was some veggie restaurant in the the Mission in SF, near Deloris Park around 1977-1985ish...the veggie restaurant was dedicated to some guru, there were quite a few pictures around this place. And it had great veggie food, too. I went there around half a dozen times or so.
I also have it at Peets and other places iced without the blended stuff...with soy, because for some strange reason I do not like half&half or milk in my chai as much as soy milk.
