You know, with graduation coming up I'm not sure what to feel.

Relief, obviously, since I'll be done with high school, and out of this crazy place besides.

On the other hand, DA has been really low-key of late; everything bad has been happening in Domino. Where the duel college that I'm thinking of going to is.

I'd think the College would be even a worse choice as it's Domino's DA, effectively.

Yeah, I get that.

But it's also the best place to become a card designer.

My parent's would kill me if I had them spend all that money to send me to DA, then decide I don't want anything to do with Duel Monsters anymore.

I don't think I could make it as a hermit. Besides, don't dragons make their nests in mountains?

... Well, I do like normal monsters. And Gemini monsters aren't bad, either.

I'd like more Normals honestly. Always did like Gigaplant and Blazewing Butterfly. ... Do wish there were more horror cards, though.

Is it? Well, I guess I could put it on my list under 'last ditch options'.

I really doubt I'd ever make any horror cards. I'd be more likely to focus on normal monster support, Geminis, and maybe drawback effect monsters.

Well, they made a good Draw Spell for Normal Monsters. That has to count for something.

I guess, but it's somewhat underwhelming.

If you're forgoing almost an entire array of effects, you need really good support. I mean really, really good. Normal has an unlimited mirror force of sorts, but so do plants, and they still have their monster effects.

It's good for Geminis, though.

Normal Monsters also have access to 6 Call of the Haunted and 6 Monster Reborn. They also have a weaker Icarus Attack of sorts. And some rather nice rush cards.

Yes, but reviving a monster doesn't grant you anything more than that monster with normals. With other decks, reviving a monster can set up for a combo play.

Mostly, I'd like to see more on defense. Maybe a field spell that buffs and protects normals.

Perhaps that should be your aim, then. Start designing cards in a portfolio? It does sound like an interesting card, the Field Spell.

Maybe. I need to find a college first, though, if I'm not going to Duel College.

I'd think the Academy itself had classes for Card Design and Art Design.

The chances of me getting a good design job without a college degree are pretty pitiful.
