It really was like a bad dream. One minute I'd been making myself all cozy, aided by a bit of magic, and then it was manual-cozyness only. I couldn't even float a pencil anymore ( Read more... )

Everything felt...off...something was going on and I wasn't sure what. It just didn't seem to mesh well with my gut.

One moment I was in The Magic shop working on a few things and reading up on the long term effects of the spell Willow did on me and the next everything magickal was gone. I didn't have to try a spell to know it, I could feel it.

Any good witch would feel it the second it was gone, it was like security in a small way. You always knew when it was gone.

Biting my lip I put everything I was working on away and started to gather my things up and head...where? Who would I go to about this? Mr. Giles was all the way in England trying to have a little bit of his own life away from the Hellmouth.

Maybe Willow would know, she has been too intuned to the magick's lately and that worried me more then anything. I just hoped she wasn't the one to blame for this, I don't know what I'll do if she was.

Hurrying back to the house I looked around for Buffy or Dawn and found them no where in sight. "Will? Willow sweetie?" I headed up to our room and sat down next to her on the bed. She looked like she lost her best friend. "What h-happened?"

"Will? Willow sweetie?""What h-happened?"

I looked up at her, too numb for a second to recognize the fact that it was /Tara/ sitting next to me. "I-it's gone, Tara" I told her, forcing the words out. If they were actually spoken out loud, they had a sort of power. It forced me to realize that I wasn't dreaming the whole thing. "I don't really know how. One second, everything was normal, and now I can't even float a pencil."

"I don't know what went wrong." I admitted, resisting the urge to cry. "I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Just a little spell to make the room a bit warmer." I sent a furtive glance in her direction, "Please say it isn't just me? That it's some sort of spell that we can fix?"

I sounded like a child that lost their favorite toy. It was almost embarrassing.

Without a moment's pause I wrapped my arms around her and held her, I felt sort of silly for doing so because it was Magick that she was worried about and not a lost pet, she was acting like it was a pet she'd lost.

"Will, honey, without magick we can't do spells. I'm sure, I'm sure it's only for a little while." I hope.

I bit my lip and glanced around the room, trying to see if I noticed anything that could tip me off as to what happened. "Willow....were you...were you doing any spells then?" I looked at her and brushed her hair out of her face. "Did something happen...I mean by accident?"

I felt like a heel for asking, but I had to, I had to know all the corners before we tried to solve it.
