California in October

Taking a week off from school to visit family, visit SoCal grad school programs, and attend the SWE national conference. Here's how it's going:
Day 1:
Two hours of sleep after chilling with V, Paul, and Wyatt. Waking my parents up at 3:45AM because their alarms didn't get set the night before. At the airport before the ticketing counter even opens (which is 4:30AM, or at least at United Airlines). Take off at 6AM for Chicago O'Hare. Half sleep on the flight. Land at O'Hare with a half hour between landing and next take off to hightail it from a B-gate to gate C15. Take off 8AM (local time) for LAX. Half sleep, space out, look out window, half watch movie/tv shows, listened to iPod, finally ate breakfast (banana & banana bread) and took meds, land 10:25AM on the west coast. (All with NO STOMACH TROUBLES! WOO) Grab luggage (which actually came out really quickly) and head to Hermosa with Em. Go to the bar our cousin works in to watch the rest of the Sox game and eat a real meal. Bummer. Drive to San Diego (and by that I mean Em drove) arrived by 3PM. Chilled for a little while. Decided to let the addiction win and went for a 2.6 mile run. Showered. Dinner of salad and spaghetti with Sue's version of grandmom's sauce. Asleep by 8PM.
Day 2 Morning:
Up at 6AM. No major stomach troubles again. Breakfast of banana & meds. Run the San Ellijo Conservatory/Lagoon. 40 min, don't know distance but really am curious. Shower. Now time for some food and homework. Later today? Probably shopping with Em and Sue. Let's hope that goes well...
