I'm heading to New Jersey to spend a night chez mes grandparents tomorrow and then Thursday will be back in Maryland. I'm hoping that my Great Job Search will not take too much longer. I will be living with my 'rents until things get figured out.
I've been considering the military lately. The Navy has Environmental Health positions... and offer up to $80,000 in loan repayment over two years. (UM, YES PLEASE.) The commission is usually for 3 years, which is totally doable. I'm still waiting on other opportunities that have been brewing but if things aren't looking up on the job front by the end of the summer, into the military I go.
This Friday is my birthday (yay!), the next Friday is my mom's birthday, the start of Father's day weekend and the St Michaels Antique & Classic Boat Festival. My best friend comes back from a year in China on July 4. My sister comes home from Argentina sometime in July. And I get to spend a summer searching for the perfect job while hopefully doing all the things I've always wanted to do in my home area (like picking strawberries! camping! running!).
This is a very hopeful post. I hope my happy outlook sticks around.
