'Where I've Been' poem by me
Spent 5 nights
aboard the Queen Mary 2.
Traveled north from NYC - the clattering metropolis -
a day at sea, exploring the ship.
Toured a brewery and learned maritime history in
misty Halifax,
Nova Scotia.
On the 4th, the ship was in the port of Boston;
saw six simultaneous fireworks shows
from the uppermost deck.
A final day at sea,
a performance of Othello and afternoon tea.
Back to the real world - sans evening balls
and elevators announcing the decks
in a crisp British accent.
