New Orleans - Friday Evening - 1870 Banana Courtyard

Aug 22, 2008 21:04

Sam and Meg pulled up in front of the Bed and Breakfast that Sam had found with an available room, thanks to a last minute cancellation.

After they checked in, they were shown to their room which had a private terrace.

"Well, what do you think?" Sam asked, tossing his duffle bag on the bed.

Meg hadn't even let go of her bag yet because she was in awe of the place. "Oh, Sam, it's beautiful." She walked towards the doors, dropped her bags, and stepped out onto the terrace. "Sam! Come look..."

He followed her out to the terrace, reaching for her bag. "Oh, wow, it's even better than the pictures I saw online."

"It's beautiful. We should order room service and eat out here," she suggested, looking around.

Sam smiled. "That could be nice."

Meg stepped close to him, smiled, and reached up with her hand to touch his cheek. "You've outdone yourself."

"You deserve it," he said, bending his head so he can kiss her.

Meg kissed him back, stepping in closer to him. She was happy, very much so.

Sam stepped back and smiled down at her. "Want to unpack?"

"No," she laughed and twirled around and headed back into their room. Unpacking was such a pain but she supposed she should do it. She reached for her bag.

"I got it," he said, carrying the bag inside for her.

"Thanks, Sam," she said.

"This is going to be nice, isn't it? Us sharing a room together. Away. I've never done this before; gone somewhere with a guy... like this." Which made it very important to Meg.

"In a bed big enough for two," he added. "Without having to kick out one of our roommates."

Sam had done this before, with Claire, but he wasn't about to tell Meg that.

"Which makes it that much more fun," she smiled.

Tilting her head, she couldn't help but wonder if he'd done it with anyone else besides her.

He'll never tell.

He grinned at her. "Unpacking, room service... what else should we do this evening? Do you want to hit up the French Quarter? Or should we save that for tomorrow?"

She wouldn't dare ask. Figured it was a personal kind of question. And then if it was yes, it might ruin things for her.

"Mm, Bourbon Street at night," she winked. "What do you think?" Meg had read online that it was a little crazy at night.

Sam glanced over from the bureau drawer he was unpacking his clothing into.

"We could always check it out tomorrow night. Just have a quiet night in together tonight?"
