late night cinema
so i was up last night at 3 in the morning and the CW ktla 5 was showing "life is beautiful" a Italian foreign film about a man and his son who are in a Nazi camp and he tricks his son into believe its a game and if they get 1000 points they win a tank, in order for his son to be happy and fine with were they are settled, the dad tricks the kid until the end where he finally is caught and shot but the kid never sees it and at the end an American tank comes and takes him away with his mom and the kid thinks he won the game. it was really good, i heard about it a long time ago when it won the Oscar for best actor but sheesh, it was worth staying up till 4am on a school night.
