The new Coldplay album is amazing--minus Viva La Vida. I couldn't be more over a song in my life.
I was driving along on my happy way today, feeling elated, and I realized that happiness is only real if it comes from one place: God.
All other happiness is fleeting and momentary and cannot be held onto, is not real.
If one cannot think of oneself in the context of the Creator-Created then he cannot even begin to fathom anything else. Understand that one thing is the beginning of knowledge. If you don't know that you're created and that you have a Creator well then--what do you know? You lose all else. You become an accident, a random chance without meaning.
If you are nothing more than a lump of cells--why bother?
Anyways, I'm deviating.
Any sadness or pain I feel is momentary--just the opposite of someone who doesn't know their Creator. My default status is happy. Stress and life and all that like to throw wrenches in my way and sometimes they slow me down but I wake up happy and I go to sleep happy. Do people ever stop to assess themselves and where they're at? I mean it might seem like a stupid thing to stop and think about but....how truly fulfilled are you? If you aren't, why aren't you? What are your priorities? What makes you happy?
I think these are good things to assess.
More and more, I'm being taught what it means to be thankful. I am thankful for all of this--but for the grace of God go I.
