Heyda Sverige!
My last night in Sweden .... I haven't been back for 5 years, and I have had such a brilliant time catching up with old friends. I met up with Micke (high school friend) in Stockholm yesterday, and was re-introduced to the charm of Gamla Stan (the old city). I even managed to make a new Iraqi friend who says that I can come and stay with him 'anytime' (might wait until we've finished decimating his country though).
Today Madde and I dropped in to see my host mother; I delivered a rather emotional thank you for all of her past kindness (as well as a gift basket), and we both ended up in tears. An hilarious evening has just been spent with Stewart and Madde and Linda and Tommy and Micke. Apart from the fact that they're married with kiddies, it's funny how little we've changed over the past ten years.
Most of all, it's been so excellent to spend some quality time with Madde and Stewart, and their wonderful son Sebastian. It's very sad to leave ... but tomorrow morn it's back to Amsterdam to meet up with my sister and her husband - yay!!!!!!
