Tactics is getting her to drink it. - Frank Muir
I don't usually get giddy when new figures arrive, well how can I when my room is now a stockpile of empty postage boxes and figures still sitting in their boxes., but there's something about a girl in pink that makes my MOE insticts burn with passion. Intensify that by 5 times if she's in a goth-loli getup and the cherry on the top, she's from the Ikki Tousen universe, specificaly the great
LU BU!.... errr.... RYOFU HOUSEN!
So really, what's there to say about this figure? It's Lu Bu in a pink dress. This is the alternative coloured version of the black version by Orchid Seed that came out about 6 months earlier. I've already seen the black one, and while I tend to enjoy the sexiness of a girl in a black goth-loli getup, nothing screams innocence than a girl in pink! I doubt any of my female readers would agree with me, but from this guy's perspective, pink is in!
However one thing that jarred this figure (as well as the black one) was the gaudy victorian knickers. I mean really, as much as goth-loli is a revival of victorian fashion sense, that's one thing that shouldn't really be flaunted with. Thankfully they are removable, and I've taken the liberty of removing such ghastly sight from my lovely Ryofu.
One thing I really like from Orchid Seed is the removable pieces of clothing. Ryofu's top garment is made of very soft PVC which can take plenty of abuse from my grubby fingers. But... there's just this odd feeling when you take it off that makes it feel like you are stripping her of her dignity.
Taking these set of photos below were quite fun, plus tinkering with the contrast and saturation, I really liked how all of them came out.
