Melnick's Law
So, a week has pass since Armageddon, here's a short run down on what I think. Boring as usual. Sure I didn't go on the first day where there were some panels worth sitting thru, but I'm reminded that it's almost all the same from previous seasons. I guess if I'm going to Wellington Armageddon next year, I'll be doing a day trip instead. However I had a look in he pamphlet and I see Rachel Lilis is coming to the Dunedin Anime Expo, so that may be worth going to next year.
Anyway, headed to the Sony booth. Played the Alpha code of Killzone 3 with the 3D glasses on. Nice effect, but not sold with the 3D. The gameplay feeks the same as KZ2 (which is a good thing), and I liked some of the new weapons. Taking out those jetpack Helghast is too damn easy if you have enough grenades at your disposal.
But my main contention was to get stuff signed. James Tucker and John DiMaggio were first up. The line went by real fast, but only I was only allowed to get 1 item signed and no pictures. Ah well... Next session were Billy Farmer, Mela Lee and Vic Mignogna. The line was ridiculously short. Hell I got 4 stuff signed in one go when I went into Mela's line. I'm surprise no one stop me, but hey, least she signed stuff that were out of the ordinary. Here's a picture of me and Mela.
Despite me looking like I'm not interested, I was rather excited.
Anyway, when I headed to Vic's line, it was rather short. Hell I lined up 4 times to get 2 items signed per lining. That moment was the funniest thing I've experience in a long while. Spoke with Vic for a bit and tells me he won't be in any Sentai/Section32 dubs for a while since he's just commuting between LA and Fort Worth. All signed up and couldn't resist taking a photo with him.
Paid a visit to the AMV contest, and enjoyed some of the entries, but I wonder why everyone is going Ghibli. Anyway also chatted with Zeb and her entourage before heading home to cook some dinner. I've just checked out next year's Armageddon line for voice actors and I curse the organisers for listing Wendee Lee up. I think I'll head to the Christchurch one since it's supposedly smaller and I'll be able to get a ton of stuff signed.
Oh and one thing more, Ponder this:
Something doesn't look right.
