holy snaps, I broke 200 posts? I know, y'all still have like, thousands on me, but lookit me go~
So lately, I've been feeling uber nostalgic for the Jrock/JE/Jpop Days of Olde. Seriously, I went through and played my Jrock PVs (and let me tell you, it's an epic playlist) and the whole time I was going "omggg so good i miss this! omg wow, at one point i knew the names of the people in these bands and now half these bands are like, awol".
And then I went and tried to rewatch Gokusen 2. My reaction to this was: "oh snaps, now i remember!!! Jin used to actually be hot instead of a greasy slimeball!" And "wow, i actually find Kame attractive in this!" This was then replaced by "WTH, how did Nakama Yukie stand delivering lines like that?!" and "oh, I remember why I always fast-forwarded parts of this drama" I might go back and watch the rest again, but I still need to finish BOF. However, I am feeling no motivation for that...-.-
and then I was like, ooooh, what's Shoon doing these days, which led me to the shoon comm which led me to:
THIS GORGEOUS THING OF BEAUTY . (it's a pimp post, jsyk)
and ok, ok, y'all. I know no one cares, but Ya-Ya-yah are the reason I'm in fandom today. Seriously, once upon a time, like, 5 years ago, Jessi was youtubing "Jin the Rapper" and came across Akanishi Jin. Jessi then said, "oh cute" and then proceeded to not give a flying damn. After a bit more trawling, Jessi came across a video of a Ya-Ya-yah/KAT-TUN video and the song (START!!, if you must know) was just so catchy that I immediately fell in love with the group and did intensive youtubing. (I just want to make it clear that it was more of a "aww cute kids" rather than "OMG BEAUTIFUL/HOT BOYS". I don't do like that. Not even with SHINee). This eventually led to a love for KAT-TUN (Junno specifically, if anyone cares) which eventually led to a poll of "Who's Hotter, Jin or Jaejoong?" which led to me going "Jaejoong who? DBSK who? ...OMFG THEY ARE AMAZING!" Which then led to my life being taken over by kpop.
Anyhoo, yes. Ya-Ya-yah has a very special place in my heart. So there were some parts of that Pimp Post of Awesome that kinda ~hit~ me:
about 90% of Ya-Ya-ya fans are, on at least some level, 4 > 10. (Ya-Ya-yah > Hey!Say!JUMP) A phrase you will hear often is "YA-YA-YAH ITSUMADEMO" (Ya-Ya-yah forever). Now, that doesn't mean those same fans haven't accepted Hey!Say!JUMP. Yes, you will most definitely find your HSJ-antis. But majority of Yax3-ers have at the very least, accepted HSJ.
I have to say, since I have been out of JE fandom for awhile, I've never even bothered listening to H!S!J, but I too have accepted what has happened. Though yes, I think a bit of me will always be 4>10, Ya-Ya-yah itsumademo. I guess this gives me a better view of what those ONLY!13-ers felt. Though I doubt YYY fans were ever as psycho and hurtful as ONLY!13. Completely different levels yo. And completely different situations.
if you're one of them, Ya-Ya-yah fans can be the coolest people in the world. If you're not, they can be the scariest....Be aware that dissing Ya-Ya-yah on LJ would be a very dangerous thing to do. You'd have a shit load of people to answer to. And you probably wouldn't live through it.
IA IA IA SO MUCH.
And IA so much with the entire section on why Ya-Ya-yah is legend. So yes, if you are/were (idk what form to use) a fan, go through and read and remember why we love them. If you aren't and you like underaged (though most of them are of age now) Japanese boys being
cute (1:30- voice of an angel, no lies) and
this kid with the gorgeous voice and lulzy engrish (wtf is rain is keeping wet for birds?), then go check out that pimp post too. And for you pervs,
here is them dancing around and being half-nekkid (eww, dnw. ever). <- incidentally, this is my favorite JE song EVER.
Ok, that's the end of my depressing nostalgia session. Actually, no it isn't. I miss Kusano, goddamit. I refuse to touch anything from NewS until he is back.
Happier, up-to-date post next. :D
