Life's a Nightmare, So I Get Sweet Dreams

I hardly ever have nightmares (and when I do, it's not the usual kind, but mostly anxiety or semi-fun adventure alien invasions), and in fact I tend to have the opposite, a special weird brand of "Lightmares" -- sweet good dreams, when the reality of daily life is seriously bad.

So for the last two sleeping periods I've had Lightmares. :-)

I don't remember the one before last (but it involved various good people I've know in my life, possibly gathering at some kind of college festivity or convention and we were laughing a WHOLE lot), but this time around I dreamed I was playing guitar and singing. There was some surreal oddness about needing to put some kind of one-of-a-kind capo or semi-magical clamp on the bridge of the guitar, or attach one string over to some other guitar of another person -- a marvelous inventor of guitar wonders (but he had to be hospitalized and operated on for something minor and were taken away laughing -- the hospital was right there in the next room)...

Anyway, it was again some kind of gathering, possibly at an event like a convention, but very casual, and lots of friends and people from my past -- school, work -- were there.

So I was walking around, getting ready to capo or tune the guitar, waiting for someone to bring me the magic super-super-wonder-clamp, then in the meantime singing something, and Allison caprine was definitely there and some other people I cannot exactly remember. Anyway, I really wanted to sing, to perform a full new song, but then... I woke up.
