New Market - Polu Texni

Introducing a classy new market:

Polu Texni

"Polu Texni (πολύ τεχνικός) is a Greek phrase meaning many arts. It's the same root word as polytechnic. Polu Texni is a web magazine about mixed-media arts and speculative or weird fiction. We're interested in the intersection where different media, styles, crafts, and genres meet to create something more interesting than what they would be alone."

The first issue has fiction by Adam Rurik and Jack Skillingstead, and an artist's profile of Pat Lillich who does some truly amazing indescribable sculpture -- go see for yourself, my jaw dropped at the surreal beauty on the very front page.

The payment appears to be a range from semi-pro to pro rates.

The editor is Dawn Albright who ran the short lived but very elegant Angelus Press back in the 90s, and she will be re-printing my story "The Slaying of Winter" in the October issue of Polu Texni. There's some fun history here -- she had originally bought this particular story for the anthology Dimensions of Madness over a decade ago, and which I had since re-sold, so this will be a publication many years in the making.

I'm certainly glad to see Dawn back with her excellent projects, of which this is a modern continuation!

Be sure to check out this new web magazine.
