Last night’s episode of the Dr. Who - which I just watched on iTunes while soaking in the tub - included a Pulp Fiction reference (as the Biblically-themed episode wound down one of the companions recited the Ezekiel verse, made famous by the movie, invoking Tarantino, as a sort of parting shot at King James). When that was done and I moved on to the second of my bathtime activities, an audio version of an aeon.com article about medieval education (
https://aeon.co/essays/medieval-wisdom-about-teachers-behaving-badly), I hear another invocation pretty much right off the bat: “The faux-medieval fantasy TV series Game of Thrones (2011-) and the line ‘I’mma get medieval on your ass’ in the film Pulp Fiction (1994) have done little to help the period’s image.”
Unrelated but in case you’re wondering: I’m using patchouli scented bath bomb by Sabon.
