On "On The Mend"
Well, it's official. This thing's going to be continued. Not only is it going to be continued, it's going to be epic. I haven't a clue how long it is, but I do have the basic outline for the first five chapters already... I've never written an outline without a teacher forcing me to in my life. So, the fact that I feel that I need one to keep this fic on track really says something. And, whereas before it was basically a fic revolving around Perceptor and Springer a) knowing each other for a long time and b) growing up on the streets, it has evolved. Mutated, even.
At this point in the planning process we have Perceptor, Springer, Ratchet, Prowl, Jazz, Sandstorm, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Topspin, Twin Twist, Broadside, Red Alert, Inferno, Wheeljack and Optimus Prime. Every time I set to work on outlining the next chapter, new characters pop up... I'm fairly certain that, soon enough, Decepticons will start popping up. (Probably Constructicons or Stunticons... Ohhh, Stunticons! ... The bunny just mutated again. *flickers off to add latest development to storyline*)
I'm having a bit of trouble with the structure of the fic though. Even though, essentially, I'm telling one story, it spans four different time periods. All of which I'm telling at the same time, in the same chapters. I'm not too sure how to let people know where we are in the times - I'm hoping to find out a bit more about the Transformers calender, as well as when the war started. I'd also try to find out the general life-time of a Cybertronian, but then I realized: Alpha Trion. Basically, they live forever, so I can start it whenever I want... Just as soon as I have an actual time-line worked out.
Right, well, I've ranted and rambled some now, and generally taken up space, so I think that's all I've to say. Other than one complaint: I wanna go to bed. *points* The bunnies are holding me hostage and won't let me. (This translates to: I'm sleepy but the bunnies are keeping me up.) Hopefully they'll let me go now that I've been nice and cooperative...
P.S. Forgot to mention this - the first bit I put up here will probably serve as a prologue, or more unlikely, will be incorporated into the first chapter.
