I somehow managed to fix my Facebook, so here are some more photos and videos of the flood. I'm going to try to talk Dan into having a photo day tomorrow where I can go and take some pictures myself. Now that the waters are *slowly* receding, I don't feel guilty.
It was announced today on the news that over 700 homes in Metropolis, which doesn't have a flood wall, have been evacuated. Our neighboring town, Brookport, has been completely evacuated as it's flood wall is showing signs of distress. Another town, Golconda, has a flood wall in place, but using it closed the entire town where no one can get in or out.
If you watch any of the following videos, watch this one. Paducah, where my mamaw lives, is the town directly across the river from Metropolis. For some reason, it makes you go to YouTube to watch it.

This house is on the main interstate that runs out of town.
Sonic managers load what food they can into their trucks to help feed the families at shelters. Not far from here is a nursing home that had to be evacuted.
