In case you didn't notice, I am skipping Saturday the 7th, because there really wasn't much to report. Studying and then some exploratory shopping all around Oslo.

BUT today (sunday) was a little different. I woke up and was sadly dissapointed in the weather. Sadly. It was, once again, raining. They say that this is really really unusual to have this much rain in such a limited amount of time. For us, it just so happened to be the time we are here. The students from England apologized, because they said that they brought this crappy weather with them, for this is not uncommon for their area. Ha ha.

I was adament about not letting the weather dictate what fun I would have on this trip. Scheduled was a BBQ on a Fjord Island, and knowing that not a lot of people would probably show up, I went anyway. To my surprise, there were quite a few people. This was one of those events we share with the International Summer Program at UiO aka the ISP. So between BI and ISP, there was enough of a group to actually go. We first went on the subway, which took us to the Central Station, then on a bus which took us to the harbour. From the Harbour, we then went on a boat (very short boat ride I might add) which then took us to Hovendøya , one of the many many fjord islands

Once we got off the boat and onto the island, we trecked onto this little penninsula where we would be having this bbq. I'd say about half of the people from BI saw this spot, and turned around and went back.  Pansies. I stayed, along with a bunch of people from the other apartment complex Anker. They are people I don't normally hang out or converse with, so it was a nice change of pace. These little "grills" they brought along are genius!! they worked really well, and there were probabbly like, I'd say, 15 or so of them. The BI students kinda had like, 3, (one got rained out) and we sharred with some Americans from the ISP.

After awhile, we decided it wasn't worth playing games after, so headed back home. Well, home was different for me, so after they got off to switch buses, I was alone in Oslo. Luckily, The next stop was the Central station where I could catch the Tran to Nydalen (where my apartment is) and made is successfully back home. Once there, I decided to try to get into the computer lab to do some more updating. Much to my dismay, I couldn't enter the area that I wanted to to be able to get in the computer lab! I was so upset, because on the way back it started to rain even harder. Upset, I just went back to my room, made myself a nice dinner, and read the rest of the articles for tomorrow's test. Thank goodness I have a Sudoku book with me to keep me busy when I finish with the articles, because I don't know what I would do with myself.
