So, today was supposed to be the day we take a walk along the Aker river after our lecture, but because of the continuing rain we've been having, it was pretty much canceled.
Our lecture was done by the other organizor of academics for the summer program, Tor Grennings. While he did a decent job of giving us very useful information, I do believe he also did a great job of putting many of us to sleep. It was rather hard, because so many of us were tired to begin with. When I recopied my notes later, I was able to fully grasp what he was saying, then realizing what very useful information he was giving out.
After that, we basically had free time, which I just spent indoors. I didn't want to frolick in the rain, or make jaunt to the store like I've been meaning to do, because of the fear of catching a cold from being outside so much. So I spent a lot of time reading, going over my notes and writing my long (5-7 page paper) essay on Norwegian culture. Our group then had a group meeting. For our group projects, we have to choose a product not popular or known in Norway and market it to the Norwegians.
We chose the American idea of having a Day Care Center at a college or University.
My group consists of Vivian from Hong Kong, Vivien from Singapore, Adit from Indonesia and Marrit from the Netherlands. It would seem that Marrit fancies herself as the leader, making most of the plans, coming up with the American Idea of th day care centers (she had heard about them from Vina, her American roommate.
Must get to class now!
