Today we didn't have class, but a day trip to Hadeland, the place where they make/blow glass. It was fascinating, but we will get to that in a minute. We took another tour bus up to this place, and it took a good hour, I would say. But that hour was filled with just gorgeous scenery, and that was just the way up! Of course all of my pictures were taking through the window, but I hope/think they were still pretty good

When we finally arrive in Hadeland, we went right away to the glass blowing factory to witness a plate actually being made. It was fascinating, but the process was long-ish, so after awhile, it got kinda repetitive, but the whole concept is still mind-blowing. They were making a plate special order, and had to make a total of 15 plates.

We were then able to walk around and shop a little. For a limited budget, I am proud of what I was able to purchase, using careful math to make sure I didn't go over my designated budget. I'm not sure who these things will go to, but I am sure I can figure it out eventually. I also was able to pick up a patch for me, another thing I collect a lot. There was this shop, and if I was able to use my card, I would have gone crazy. Hopefully I will be able to find a shop like that in my endeavors later on.
We had lunch at this place, and I enjoyed Salmon with potatoes! It was very yummy! I sat with people I don't normally hang out with, Ivan from Russia, Svetlana who was also from Russia and Katherine from Hong Kong. It was a very nice conversation. I found out that in Russia, if someone drops a fork or a knife, it means someone is coming. Interesting huh?
After that, we all loaded back onto the bus and went another way back to Oslo. We were able to go up the mountain and take pictures at this beautiful view of the Fjord that was called the Queens Fjord.
