His job isn’t just acting, it’s living another life. It’s getting to be someone else for a little while. It’s why he can almost always laugh and smile for real when he needs to on a job, even if things are going wrong.
It’s in the moments between jobs, that he finds it harder. His life as Neal Caffrey had been one long con until he met Kate. With her he could be himself sometimes. But at other times he needed to be a teacher and a protector, so he had to be able to lie to her.
As soon as Dean called him on that lie, he’d felt his usual talent for faking it shatter like Kate’s collarbone. He didn’t think he’d ever be able to convincingly lie to Dean now.

Let me know what you think xD

Another reason for this post, in addition to the fic update, is that I noticed I've got some new friends on my journal that I'm hoping is the result of their interest in this series. If you've been following me, please comment on this post with any info about yourself you'd like to give. I'd love to know who you are and to friend you back!
If you want to know more about me here's a rundown:
Name: Morgan
Age: 24
Fandoms: I started out in ahmmm, 2004, in Labyrinth and for a long time only wrote that. Recently I've written in SPN and obviously White Collar. And I have been known to write the occasional random crossover with my regular fandoms. I've read Harry Potter and some Austen fic, but recently I've read a lot of Star Trek IX, Sherlock Holmes (2009), Inception and Sherlock (BBC). I haven't stuck my toe in the writing aspect of any of those fandoms as of yet. I'm currently marathoning my way through all of Fringe, so I may end up there too sooner or later. ;)
Favorite Ships: Obviously Sarah/Jareth for Labyrinth. But lately I've been all about OT3s, particularly Peter/Neal/El in White Collar, Kirk/Spock/Uhura in Trek, and Arthur/Ariadne/Eames in Inception, though was an Arthur/Ariadne fan before Eames ever got into the picture. I wasn't a fan of slash for a very long time, but Sherlock cured me of that. I'm sure you know which ship i'm referring to.
School/Work/RL: I finished up a master's program in August and I'm trying to be a professional librarian. Right now I'm juggling two barely part-time jobs in public libraries (my chosen field) and living at home with my parents. I don't have a significant other, though I have been dating a little lately. :)
I do have some RL friends on this journal, and I like to be open about my fandom tendencies, even though most of them are not active readers or writers (to my knowledge, anyway). ;)
So, comment here if you want to get to know me back! <3
