Hello everyone.
Sorry I haven't been on here but, I am proud to announce my new novel called 'The Secret World of Preteen Girls' and it is a six short story all in one book focusing on the lives of six preteen girls from age 7 to 11-years-old. So, here is the summaries of the short stories:

-'Schrope Street': A short story about two preteen Canadian girls whose close friendship gets tested when 9-year-old Mimi accidently gets drafted to fight in the First World War when it breaks out in later 1914. Although, Mimi survives the war, she soon discovers that friendships are forever, even when you're at war.

-'Cimmy': Short story about a 8-year-old girl named Cimmy who is chosen to bear a child for her aunt who couldn't have kids in 1961 Idaho. But, she soon discovers that the baby that she gives birth to, has autism and is no longer wanted by her aunt. So, the 8-year-old girl soon becomes it's mother.

-'Living with Unicorns': Story about a fat and lonely 11-year-old girl named Esmerelda who lives in rural South Dakota in the year 1964 who has a big fear of growing up. She is a fifth grader at her school and has no friends. Until one day, while having a panic attack while watching a educational video about puberty in girls with her class, she soon runs away from school and gets befriended by a out of work social worker named Sian Church. Later on in the story, while sleeping in her bedroom, she gets her period and is later calmed by Sian Church, who tells her everything he knows about puberty in girls. Then, she and Sian Church soon develop a father-daughter type friendship as she soon finds acceptance with puberty and finally gets a friend named Nick who's 12-years-old.

-'Hailey's Birdsong': Imagine if you could become part of history. Well, that's the story of 10-year-old Hailey, a beautiful girl from rural Oregon in the year 1936 who dreams of flying a airplane. Although, her father had died fighting in biplanes in the First World War, Hailey soon honours his memory when she takes flying lessons and learns how to fly in a Gee-Bee type plane. She soon earns her pilot's wings and compeates in a aerial racing tourney in which she wins it. The prize? Hailey soon flies off to a Royal Air Force airfield and test pilots one of the greatest fighters of the coming Second World War, the Supermarine Spitfire and is given a British DFC.

-'Holly's War': The story of a 7-year-old girl named Holly who experiences the American Civil War from her own backyard in 1863 along with her 8-year-old sister named Jessica who are sent by their cruel mother to be nurses to the wounded Federal soldiers at a Army hospital. Although, they have seen and taken part in bloody amputations. Holly soon grows more afraid of nursing life and runs off with a 7-year-old boy named Nathan who befriends her. The story ends when the three kids soon see peace is proclaimed.

-'Watershed Lights': This final short story in the book is about five preteen girls who defy school indoctrination at a summer camp set up by their school in 1998. Although, they are sick and tired of being pushed around and treated like slaves to their school camp masters, they soon get lost on a hiking trip and eventually wind up at a magical place in the woods that has bright red roses and fairies, unicorns that's guarded by a beautiful angel who soon teaches them that they should be able to live out their hopes and dreams in which the five preteen girls come face-to-face with.
Soon, they then kick out the cruel camp masters and also discover that friendships are more important in the face of a harsh life.
