Book thoughts: New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

Dec 02, 2009 22:25

I have eaten very little today. I woke after 10 AM and I think I started reading New Moon at around 10.30. And that's pretty much all I have been doing, aside from a few other things. I finished it now at 10 PM.

I must say that I am slightly bewildered, and that the book really gripped me. As I'm reading, I hear music. Different songs from days past, that I think go so well with the story told.

I am afraid to see the movie. I think I will though, sometime.
However, I don't think the beginning of the book can be any better portrayed, then how Stephenie Meyer wrote it. I can feel Bella's pain. It's perfectly sane. I understand it.

And I didn't think the heart wrenching race against the clock would set my mind and heart flustering, but it did. And the thought of having to choose between friendship and love is slightly insane.

I feel as though Stephenie's writing somehow improved with this second book. The world and its characters feel more vivid, and the things that happen aren't that difficult to wrap your mind around. But, I am afraid I am into deep. I desperately need to find out what will happen and I'm afraid that the two books left will hardly last me a week. And then what? Emptiness? Nothingness? I hate when this happens.

Also, I am hoping that future books will give me a mouth-watering sex scene. That would be like... rawr.

Here are two songs that I think go extremely well to this love story. My heart is breaking.
