Hot pink/magenta tiny flowers?

Hello,

I keep seeing these flowers along the road, either as border plants in front of people's yards, or along the freeway. It's some kind of ground cover that is blanketed by tiny magenta flowers. From my vantage point (usually driving by), it looks like a blanket of flowers. I'd really like to plant some of these, but I don't know what I'm asking for at the nursery.

I'm not talking about flowering ice plant, although those are the right color. But those flowers are big. The ones I'm referring to are tiny. Also, I'm not talking about an expanse of green ground cover dotted occasionally by a small pink flower. I see those, too, but that is not what I'm talking about. The ones I mean really look like pink lace growing flat along the ground.

I went to a local nursery to ask someone about it, but unfortunately the only person available to answer my questions was a stoned teenager who had no idea and did not care at all. :-/

Anyone have ideas? Feel free to post links if you think you know what I mean. I'm in the Bay Area. Thanks!
