Wow, I feel stupid

So apparently it's been almost a month since I posted an entry on this thing. Whoops! I'm really lazy when it comes to these things. I can't tell you how many diaries I have on my bookshelves that only have one entry in them, so really it's amazing that I've posted as often as I have. Anyway, obviously lots has happened since the Supernatural finale, which was my last post. I don't really feel like going into that much detail, so I think I'm just gonna list everything.

So, I had finals, which were pretty sucky, but I got them over with and survived my freshman year of college with a pretty solid GPA and my place in the Honors program and scholarship in tact! Which is a pretty big win.
I saw the new Star Trek (three times so far, with a possible two more in my future) and it was FANTASTIC and I will probably watch it for a month straight when it comes out on DVD. Plus, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are HILARIOUS, I love the interviews with the two of them, especially when they do their little game where they try to out big-word each other. Oh silly, intelligent boys.
Recently found new boys to crush on: Kris and Adam, this year's American Idol winner and runner-up, respectively. I just LOVE THEM TO BITS, they are both FABULOUS, especially Adam.
Speaking of Kradam (as they are called), I went to the beach with my friends Anna and Lauren (
guardianangel_x) a couple weekends ago and while there Lauren and I both purchased 2 hermit crabs each (since apparently they live longer if they have company, awww). She named hers Jensen and Jared and I named mine Adam and Kris, Adam in the shiny blue shell and Kris in the sweet, unassuming white shell. Appropriate much? ;) I love them dearly. (P.S. Lauren! Our crabs need to have a play-date soon!!)
Also went to see Up this past weekend, and it was sooo good. The beginning of the movie is so moving, beautiful and heart-breaking at the same time. My sister was openly sobbing in the theater, which I've never seen her do with any movie. The rest of the movie is just as good, fun and funny and sweet. Definitely worth seeing!
I've also started working for my dad this week. So far he's just got me going through his claims files and extracting all the names of the parties involved and the important documents so that he can go back through and pick out all his juicy facts w/o having to read the whole file. It is not as easy as it sounds! The file is literally a foot and a half tall and there are a BILLION people mentioned in e-mails and letters and memos that sometimes only show up once and are never mentioned again or they show up multiple times but I have no way of knowing who they are or what they do or who they work for. Also, I have no knack for knowing which documents need to be extracted or not. I'm constantly holding papers up and going "Is this important? No? What about this one? Should I extract that as one document or two?" So far my dad's been real patient and hasn't blown up at me, but I can't help feeling I'm wasting more time than I'm saving for him, though he insists I'm being a big help and that I'll get the hang of it eventually. Sure, I believe that. Least now I know law is DEFINITELY not the profession for me (thank god).
Last but not least, today is my birthday! I am 19 years old. Meh. Doesn't feel that different, but it's probably too early to tell. Didn't really do much since Tess is still in school and everyone else had stuff going on tonight. Went in to work since it was less depressing than staying home by myself. I did have a nice lunch with Mom and Dad and afterwards went and got a whole bunch of cupcakes, whose flavors include coconut, red velvet, marble, and pineapple. They are DELICIOUS. The cake is pound cake and so thick that it tastes like cookie. Yummm.

Ok, I think that's it. Will try to post more often and less long. More short? Whatever.

my life-it is so interesting no?
