I don't wear flipflops to work, not no more
3 weeks of unemployment ended last week as I became a 'guest lecturer' at City Uni (nee Northampton Insitute). I'm teaching business english 10-5. 5! It's a crazy time to finish work - I keep wondering why it's still light while I travel home. Though actually I've managed to stay till 6.30 a few times as I have to learn scary stuff like accounting the night before I teach it.
Also, I've committed the sin of making miss_newham immanently homeless. Though I loved our flat and the merry twinkling lights of the drumshack, it's getting shabbier and shabbier - the Port Royal restaurant closed down, the budleia (?) is so high sunlight can barely creep into the kitchen - so the rent seems increasingly just too damn much. With hoshuteki and voiceofsauron and vodka_fairy all on the move it seems it's the season for relocation.
