A Long December
I guess the winter makes you laugh a little slower
Makes you talk a little lower about the things you could not show him
And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe
Maybe this year will be better than the last
I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself
To hold on to these moments as they pass
Wishing you and yours a happy holiday.
In these few days left before the new year don't think of what you didn't do, of what you fucked up, or who said what. So maybe it seems that this year was "all a bunch oysters and no pearls" but thats why in a few days it's a new begining the turning to another page. I know it's barely Christmas and I'm a lil ahead of myself on the New Year posts but I dunno I felt compelled to write this because in this holiday of spending time with loved ones a lot of people tend to focus on what they don't have as opposed to what they DO have. I suppose people do that regurdless of the holiday but none the less if you get to feeling this way within this holiday remember you DO have something, you're here to celebrate life... your life that you have right now, and that my friends is a blessing in desguise.
