okay so tonight has been frustrating but things have finally settled down for the night. But tonight has been one of those nights with Ethan. As he is getting older, he's developing more of his unique personality and he's got quite the temper. But lately I've been having a hard time telling between which is temper and which is he actually needs something. He's found his vocal chords and starts screaming pretty loud and it gets frustrating.
I finally called my mom tonight cause I didn't know what to do. She told me to take his temperature and he was running a little bit of a fever but nothing too bad. She thinks that he might be getting an ear infection. And from what I've seen so far, he's got my pain tolerance. Which means when he gets sick, it's going to be harder to catch.
I laid him down in his crib and he started screaming for nearly 20 minutes straight. I finally went in to get him and he calmed down. He had gotten so worked up though that it took a sec for him to calm down. And then for the next hour and half or so he was happy as a lark playing out here and whatnot. ANd then I was feeding him some cereal and he started fussing again so I put him in his crib cause you could tell he was tired and he refused to go to sleep so I finally put him in the swing and he crashed out. And I transferred him back to his crib where he's nice and out.
My mom is seeing more of my personality shine through in him. He's perfectly happy as long as someone is paying attention to him, but as soon as you turn away, he starts getting upset. So I'm trying to give him his own time in his room by himself now.
Hence my frustrations, I don't know if it's all temper or if something is the matter. . . . . . like my mom said, if only babies came with manuals . . .lol
