I have a Live Journal??

While I haven't forgotten I have this thing...it has been a while since I have posted something that is viewable by everyone.  And, really, this is kinda a rambling post.  Earlier this evening, as I got up to do some "business" and decided that the colony of who-knows-what living in out toilet needed to die, I was bombarded by IMs.  Well, only slightly, since I had been talking to two of them before I got up, but the main point being when I came back, I had an IM from a friend from high school that I rarely speak to.  It's not that we don't like each other anymore, quite the opposite, I still think of her as one of my best friends.  It's just that for the longest time, she was in another country without constant access to the internet, so I kinda got used to not speaking with her very often.  Anyways, I've pretty much been talking with her on IM for, oh, about 4 hours now, which is a very long time for us, really.  We've been talking about various things, and at one point we got on the subject of myspace, blogs, and the like.  Well, I told her I had a blog and an LJ, and she told me about her LJ.  So, I went to it, and read some, and added her as a friend LJ style, and was looking around at stuff having to do with LJ friends when a thought occurred to me.  Although we went to different colleges, and haven't talked a whole lot since then, we're still pretty good friends (I hope!), and I feel this overwhelming urge to get her together with a bunch of my other, newer friends.  Maybe it's just the type of person that I am, or maybe this happens to everybody, but all of my friends I feel could in fact become friends with one another.  They all have little things in common, hobbies, leanings, etc, that I feel would make it such a great thing if we could all hang out together.  And you know the overwhelming theme, the thread that is in everyone's hobbies and history?  Books and libraries.  And I don't even read that much anymore (cuz I'm just that lazy).

Wow, that was almost pointless.  Oh well.
