Life is a bit stressful right now, and it would cheer me up greatly to know good things going on in all y'alls' lives. Leave a comment with awesome news of what is up with you.
Shiny multicolored high heels; discovering that walking in same--even through snow--is easier than I'd thought.
Day of the Tentacle, and also finding some interesting-looking indie adventure games on TVTropes.
Fun platonic Valentine's Day dinners and chatting with friends.
I'm almost done with this skirt, and once I'm done, the plan is to see if I can take in one of my dad's dress shirts so it fits me in a flattering manner. If so, the *further* plan is to steal a bunch more on summer vacation: the man's retired, he doesn't need dress shirts, and men's shirts come in nifty colors/patterns.
ETA: Also, I'm about to write a scene that--thanks to your advice--features a desk full of wasps.*
*"A romance novel inspired by The Shining," I say. "We are not putting that on the cover," my editor will say.
My boyo making cookies, getting into trouble and turning on the charisma to devastating effect, eating cookies for dinner, new house almost unpacked, no longer being trapped by snow, and kittens being ridiculous.
Plans to see Die Hard 5 last night got scrapped when I came home from work and discovered that my cat was having a bad reaction to a vaccine she received from the vet Wed. night. She wasn't eating and would yowl aggressively whenever we tried to move her. Brought her to the animal hospital emergency room, where they gave her fluids, pain meds and benadryl. She started eating again in the middle of the night, and is feeling much better this morning. She's acting much more like herself, and was purring when I pet her. Hooray hooray. Plus I'll be seeing Die Hard tonight instead, so things are quite good today. :)
I have power! This is a thing that one does not often celebrate, but I am still reveling in the fact that I have heat and light and things are so much easier than one does not have these things! Mark took me out to my favorite thai restaurant, Thai Star, yesterday and it was just as yummy as ever. I even drank a giant bowl like mug of thai tea. Mmmm... Then, we went over to Gracie's newest venture named Ellie's which is a parisian style bakery in the Biltmore's Garage. Mark got me a jar full of macarons and a giant loaf of beer bread for dinner which I also ate for breakfast (and maybe every other meal today). Then I spoiled my dinner a bit by going to my local liquor store for a cupcake and sparkling wine tasting accompanied by a local massage therapist giving free chair massages. I bought a delightful sparkling red dessert wine, Mark bought a pumpkin spice whiskey by our local distillery, and I may have met a new local massage person!

It's Friday! It doesn't get much more awesome than that.
Madrigal! Madrigal! I was contemplating sending Najat a letter. Where the heck is she anyway? :-)
