Good review... I liked the ending. I thought it could have been a bit more polished, but I think the point there was to return it to a supernatural horror film as opposed to a psychological horror movie.
The movie is a set of revelations... the girls is possessed -> girl is victim, father is evil -> town is evil. I wished they ran with the town is evil. Like they had some good set up (the boy throwing mud at the car and the people they see in town) but there could have been more of that and more of the town is crazy at the end.
The ending has the problem of any "found footage" horror film (Paranormal Activity, Blair Witch, REC, Quarantine, Cloverfield, etc.). The cameraman must "be killed" and create a sudden ending of the action. I really like the sub-genre, but I have yet to see an ending that leaves me fully satisfied.
