One secret plan
I can't write about my actually secret project, so here's a fun something I'm planning on doing to people none of us know.
When I took a semester off in college, I lived in a delightful little studio apartment that had clearly housed some awesome RISD students at some point before me. It was full of... weirdness. It was off, in a totally delightful way. There was some strange (and, I think, good and protective) symbol painted on a window. The front of the apartment had a curved section of three big windows, and one of them, tucked away and nearly invisible on the white paint, had an itty bitty piece of paper, smaller than a fortune in a fortune cookie, that said, "...and the wind began to howl".
There were occasional words or strange things drawn on the inside of cupboards, though in a way you would never see from a normal vantage point. You had to stand on a chair, or stick your head under the sink or the like in order to find them. The entire time I was there, I never stopped finding little things. It was utterly delightful and made me feel witchy and safe.
So, with the exception that I'm not going to risk my apartment, I'm going to weird up this house a little. It's a strange apartment on its own, but I'm going to add a few surprises for whoever gets it next. I hope they find it at least half as fun as I did.
