About my last post: Yay, people! To clarify,
this is what I mean about secret plans. Mischievous things, like gluing handmade marbles onto fountains. Something you can share, and will delight. Something in which we can be co-conspirators, but certainly not something that sharing would ruin the secret-feeling part.
Also, I love that people are posting things they want to do some day! People are awesome. I have awesome friends. Lucky me!
And finally: It is officially winter, for I have slipped in the ice and fallen. Yay? Back in New England barely 24 hours, but there you go. Strangely, when I was shaking my hand to try to get snow out of my sleeve, I heard a soft "tink" noise, and realized that my silver ring had flown off. It's nowhere to be found, and the sound made me think it must have bounced somewhere into the snow.
I looked for it, and at first was upset - it's silver, and pretty, and the one piece of jewelry I always wear, and the only piece I have ever expressly made for myself. However, I'm ok with it now. I have a long and generally not good history with handling the winters out here, and if this is some sort of tithe for the season, I'm cool with that. Given that that ring just does not come off randomly, I'm inclined to think it more significant, and a sign of changing times, and changing me. I'm cool with that.
