(no subject)
I'm visiting my brother, who is housesitting for one of his business partners at the moment. I'm on the very edge of Washouga, right near Camas, which means nothing to anyone not from the area. I'm near Portland, but on the WA side.
Today, after a slow start, my brother and I went to his property and I picked the tail end of the raspberries and a ton of blackberries. And then ate most of them on the ride home. Yum! His property is gorgeous - old rose bushes that smell heavenly, daisies taller than I am, cherry trees, apple trees, a pear tree, blackberry, raspberry, and marionberry bushes. My mom has gotten him a fig tree, too, though it's not been planted yet. I saw three rabbits, one snake, a gorgeous, huge hawk, and lots of bees.
My brother is giving serious consideration to keeping bees, which is too cool for words.
