I had been rationing out my current book, as I often do with books I adore. I don't want it to end, so I only let myself read a chapter every night or two, and just think about the book a lot in between. I had been, but I gave that up today and ripped through the last two hundred pages or so. 200 pages of actual novel - the story of the book ends a good 120 pages before the physical book. To be fair, the author was cool enough to include a bunch of fairytales in the back, and I love it, but the ending of the story caught me off guard, and I feel like I wasn't ready to finish it yet.
It's one of those books that you read, and feel like it was written just for you. Well, for me, really. Darker fairytales and loss and love and the importance of names - and communist dwarves, but that was just funny. I do wish it wasn't over quite yet, though.
