I'm on a knitting kick again, which is good for me. It's good to be making things, and knitting is a pretty relaxed and not-messy form of creativity for me. I have finished my first pair of socks (thanks, mylittleredgirl!), and am now working on this skirt, which is gorgeous and pleases me. And going surprisingly quickly at the moment, but I'm still only doing 160 stitches per row, so ask me again once I'm doing 640.

I got to see some people this weekend, which was lovely, though E and I weren't up for being super social. We're kind of hiding from the holidays this year, and more or less skipping christmas.

I've got a new consulting project, which is teaching me all sorts of things about awesome googlemaps mashups. Hopefully the coding will be friendly, but it's a neat system, and I'm happy to have a (paying!) project to show me the ropes.

Normal-job work is keeping me plenty busy, and with this new consulting project and my own projects, there aren't enough hours in the day.Story of my life, that. I need a vacation. I'll be spending a week with my brother and my beloved pirateelmo in January, but I'll likely have to work through most of that anyway. At least I can - working remotely is awesome like that.

Speaking of, I should return to work.
