First off - 1. I have not read Harry Potter 7 yet, but I will soon, after that, I will be more than happy to discuss it. But not before! 2. I have not picked up the Changeling book, so don't tell me how cool it is! I know it is cool and I know that the mad p0werZ are amazing. I will see it soon and be as gooby as everyone else right now.

Well, my sister Alison and I finally paid our first month of rent this morning, woo! It was late of course, and that was only after we recieved a "Pay or Quit" notice from the property management company, but we are stuck in this apartment for at least another five months. This means that we're kind of stuck here until then, so after five months, we'll have a better idea of what we're going to do after that.

Right now we have two options for the end of the lease that we're considering: 1 - Move closer into Downtown, hopefully in the Alphabet District or into the Ione Plaza like we've talked about. 2 - Move somewhere cheaper.

Here are a few things about Oregon that I didn't know until I got here:
1. There is no sales tax.
2. Combined with Federal Taxes, State Taxes, etc., you lose about 30 percent of your total income to taxes. So, that $400 check for a week of work that I recieved from Nordstroms turns into something closer to 320. If you, like I say "Holy crap!", then we're on the same page.

Comparitively though, we're doing much better now than when we were at the time of my last post. I'm going on my fourth week at Nordstrom's, though the Anniversery Sale that caused them to need so many temps from Appleone is over. We keep hearing rumors that they're going to hire Alison and I, but we'll see what actually happens later I'm sure. We paid rent yesterday, late of course, but we were lucky the manager understood that we were lacking a check that would allow us to do so.

Now we get to pay rent in about two weeks again, but hopefully, our checks will be generous to us again, woo. So, updates are slow, but you'll hear from me sooner than later. At least I have an air-mattress now though.

Well, this is kind of rambling, so I'll stop for now.
