Dinnertime
The boys and I are eating popsicles.
Me: I have a banana one! What flavor do you have, Luc?
Luc: Umm.... blue!!
Me: Laughs. His is clearly red.
Luc: No, it's a monster! Rrrrr.
Me: Oh no!
Luc: No, it's a dragon! Raawr!
Me: Aaaaahhh! Laughs.
Luc: Laughs.
Max: Mine!
A minute later.
Luc: Holds his popsicle up in the air. Yes red!
Me: Doing same. Yes banana!
Max: Mine!
Luc: Yes no!!
Me: Laughs.
Luc: Say yes no!
Me: Yes no!
Max: Yes no!
Luc: Yes no yes no!
Increasing in volume.
Me: Yes no yes no!!
Max: Squeals.
Luc: Yes no! Yes no!
Within moments we are all yelling at the top of our lungs.
Luc: Yaaaaaa!
Me: Yaaaaaaaaa!
Max: Yaaaaa!
After a minute I get them to play The Quiet Game ("who can win at being the quietest?")
(I win.)
Then I blow their minds by blowing air across a bottle neck.
Marc & Rebecca are gone for the night.
I love my job. Now I'm gonna go jump up and down for a while and pretend to be a rocket ship.
