So Maria signed up for this 30-day challenge at yoga. The idea is that every day for a month you go to a(n insanely intense) yoga class. Now, the studio isn't located anywhere that's convenient for me to get to after work, so I'm not able to join in the challenge, but I decided instead to meet the challenge in my own way by exercising every day for the month of November.
Summer was active but also loaded with beer and junk food, September was ok as I biked to work and biked a lot on vacation, but October was terribly sedentary. Aside from the breast cancer run at the beginning of the month (5km in 36 minutes) I did nothing.
And thus, the challenge in the thirty day challenge - get my flabby self moving every day for thirty days. Sunday was an intense yoga class, made painful by the harsh candy hangover my body was experiencing. Yesterday was a 30 minute run through parc Maisonneuve (plus this insane 13 km walk I did by accident). Today, 20 minutes of swimming. Tomorrow I'm going to brave a night time run.
This challenge will be made further challenging next weekend when I meet up with Joanna in New York. The queen of fitness and personal torture has already scouted yoga studios and recruited her brother-in-law for boot-camp like runs through central park. If I don't die, it will be a fun weekend!
