"guess who's back / back again..."
it's been such a long time that i'd almost forgotten what a joy it was to purge myself of the day's collected garbage for all the world (or at least, for my small circle of [LJ] friends in my already-small-enough world) to know that my life isn't that fetid after all.
or so i project my life as such... to an extent of course, because lies after all can only go so far. even for a self-confessed pathological liar like me, keeping tabs of 5 or so lies to craft a cohesive-enough story can already prove daunting (you see, the secret to giving good lies is to craft these lies around the facts, with hopefully no one investigating stuff outside these facts... it also helps pag marunong kang mag-control ng butas ng ilong mo, but now i'm really digressing).
anyway, point is, i think we all tend to romanticize our lives a little everyday, in our own little way, more often than not without our even realizing it. lahat tayo ay bida sa ating mga mumunting pangaraw-araw na pelikula, whether tayo yung super-asteeg na habulin ng mga tsiks/guys; o di kaya'y yung bida na sa simula ay laging nai-isnab ngunit sa isang nagawang kagandahang-asal ay napansin ng katangi-tanging babae/lalake na napupusuan niya, na eventually magli-lead sa happily ever after, or so he/she wishes to believe.
masarap mabuhay sa kasinungalingan. and the reason we do this?
our innate propensity towards [mental] masturbation.
...don't even get me started on Friendster. ;)
so here i am giving in to my masturbatory impulse once again.

okay, so walang kareley-relation ang mga items sa baba dun sa sinabi ko sa taas. i just felt like saying it is all, in the hopes of looking like a profoundly reflective individual...
whoops! scratch that thought: there it is up there. :)
