Honestly, there wasn't a ton wrong with your Dave before you got that last crit. Sure, you had some moments where you were a little off, but overall you weren't doing a bad job. Everyone has those moments, nobody is perfect. However, there's a problem now. Since your hiatus and canon-review in an attempt to improve, your performance has been...sub-par, to put it a little harsher than it needs to be said. (I just can't think of a better way to put it.) Basically, your Dave just sounds empty and flat now, and it's obvious that you're not really enjoying the game anymore. I could be wrong about this, but I say it because I really don't see the flatness problem happening in your other game.
I just want to make it clear that in no way do I think you are a bad Dave. Keep Stridin', man, because you did a great job here and you still do over at Vatheon. It's just really hard to enjoy stalking your Route threads now because of the aforementioned flatness. I really hope that this did not come off as too harsh or horrible, that was not my intent. Like I said, you're an awesome Dave and I will continue to stalk you at Vatheon and anywhere else you decide to take your Dave, it's just painful to watch you struggle through this game.
Wow, anon! This didn't come off as harsh at all, I assure you. This... actually makes me feel a lot better about my Dave too. I really want to do my best to make it enjoyable for you and everyone I play with/who reads my threads and to hear that someone is actually noticing me being off my game is... a comfort really, I guess!
I'm... still not entirely sure what to do in regards to Route because it's true, my drive has kind of been here and there lately but I still find comfort in your words. Thank you for taking the time to come and tell me your thoughts! It means a lot.
So I guess the best I can do is sit down and really think of what I'm going to do about Route, and hope that my Dave can still give you a smile or two whether or not he's in Route.

I think this is what I needed and I'm going to really make a decision about my RPing of him at Route now, and I just... really appreciate this. It makes me feel better about him. I can't say thank you enough.
