[Jilly stopped by the bakery to grab a box of pastries and a coffee before making her way to Archie's apartment. It was a familiar offering, an echo of the mornings she'd come over to work on the mural in his entryway, but it's not truly a social call this morning. Or for a project.

[Archie is not ready to receive visitors. It will take a second of flailing and a called-out "Just a minute!" before he can scramble to put on a shirt. Finally, he opens the door and is very, very glad he took the time to put on the shirt.]
[Smile disappearing, he takes the box and sets it on the coffee table, figuring they'll sit on the couch.] A little. More than a little. Jack told me what he did.
I just learned about it last night. By the time we were finished there, I wasn't about to disturb you at home. [He sits, anticipating a heck of a conversation all of a sudden.]
Jack said he was going to speak with you about it. I didn't know it would involve no speaking at all and picking you up like a sack and bringing you over then and there.
If she knew where you lived, it would keep you away from there. I imagine two King's men could do something against a madwoman claiming to be a goddess.
[there's a pause as she assesses how this must seem to Archie. She knew he wasn't used to magic in his world. And it was possible he was right.
But if he was wrong...?] What if she's not a madwoman, Archie?
[and then there's all the ifs. If she knew where Jilly lived. If she'd really made the connection at all. If she even cared enough to seek the artist out...]
I saw Jack's scar, Jilly. I think she must be terribly powerful. Perhaps she'd tear through us like parchment, but it was only a suggestion. I'd have thought there would be more of an understanding between us first, and if someone more qualified to protect you volunteered, you might stay with them. If Grell even knew about you.
They need to talk.
Knock, knock Archie.]

It seems things have been a little...topsy turvy lately.

[she sips her coffee. She's not mad...but she isn't particularly pleased, either]
So...him saying I was moving in with you and Horatio... his whole end destination...? He came up with that on his own?
[because that didn't sound like Jack. Jack would have wanted to put her on his boat and sail away. Or lock her at the Cullen House.]

Came down to what?
Didn't it occur to any of you that I might want to be involved in planning my own move. If I'm moving at all.

[there's no accusation in her voice. If anything, it's gentle...] What would moving here do, except put you at risk too?
