Four Bells: [Voice] Somewhat Unwell

Doctor McCoy?

[It's Kennedy, and he sounds awful.  It's been a couple of days since he's left his room or contacted anyone over the journals.]

Are you in the clinic at the moment? Fever and aches aren't as much to my liking as I'd first thought. If I die before I make it there, please make sure Captain Jack stays out of my things until I return.

buffy summers, sick liek whoa, dr mccoy, jilly coppercorn, jack sparrow, voice, dawn summers

If you die?

[ this is not how we go about not worrying people, archie. ]

I'm not dying. I was exaggerating. The doctor came and won't leave.

[He doesn't sound particularly upset.]

You sound exactly like Buffy.

Good, he can forcefeed you disgusting cough syrup which is what you get for making posts and freaking m-- people. Freaking people out.

[ la la la la, moving on. ]

I get that a lot, not shockingly.

No no, she asked me exactly the same question earlier. That's all, I promise. [There's a bit of a sigh and a rustling of blankets.] If I were dying, I wouldn't be particularly worried about my effects. [Well, except the pistol.]

It's pretty much the logical question to ask. [ this is the sound of dawn tapping at something, opening her mouth to speak and then shutting it and huffing out a tiny, frustrated sigh. ] Do you-- I mean, if you have the doctor there you probably don't want company anyway and I know guys are weird about being sick, but if you decided you wanted me to I could come by? With soup. Or books.

[Guys are weird about being sick...in the 21st century. There are so many differences between that and 18th century manliness and Archie has yet to begin to realize that people are probably as befuddled about what to expect from him as he is about them. He likes having visitors when he's sick, as long as they're there to visit rather than to express their sympathy. He decides not to mention Jilly was already here with books, and instead makes a different suggestion.]

Bring Macbeth. So long as you're willing to risk catching what I have.

[ until given empirical data proving otherwise, dawn is going to continue assuming guys being big babies who don't want to be seen while they're sick is a condition that spans the centuries. ]

Scottish play it is, and if I get sick I'll even let you say I told you so.

Community Building one, the very first flat as you come in. I do have The Tempest, if you'd rather that than Macbeth.

Oh hey, we're close! Ish. You know, on the Luceti lacking in cars scale. You're just across the bridge.

...I actually have the whole collection. [ which she most certainly did not pick up due to a certain shakespeare loving sailor, oh no. ] If you want me to bring it, I have a backpack.

[He coughs a little.] Just Macbeth will do. I'm not up to reading the entire collection in a night. [Not tonight, at least. A girl with the entire collection of Shakespeare plays? Who reads them? That's not something to let slide.]

I meant if you wanted to borrow it, but there is always the holding Shakespeare hostage option.

Be there in fifteen?

[ dawn absolutely does not change into the cutest shirt she found in the clothing store before she heads out; she was wearing this one all day, thank you kindly. and the cold makes her lips chapped, which is the only reason for the gloss.

...the tea stolen from spike's stash and books beyond macbeth are most definitely for archie, however.

first door, first door... here's hoping it's open, and she doesn't have to make archie get up. ]

[It is open, and Dr. McCoy may be around in the living room. Archie is buried in Peter Pan in his bedroom. Jilly visited and brought books a few hours back, and this is one he hasn't read before.]
