Summary: Kyuhyun is your typical student, while Sungmin is the most popular guy in
school, and when Sungmin starts to show interest in Kyuhyun, Kyuhyun’s reaction is
pure hatred. But as the story soon unfolds, there’s more to Sungmin then anybody would
have thought, and behind those smiles is a painful past.

“…Like Lee Sungmin.”
Kyuhyun was surprised at what came next. He expected to feel nauseous, or horrified, or
anything along that line, but he didn’t feel anything like that. He felt the exact opposite,
light, like a thousand pounds had been taken off his shoulders. He felt as if he liked the
fact that he liked Sungmin.
Kyuhyun started laughing, ignoring the weird looks his classmates around him were
giving him. He turned and grinned at Sungmin, only that guy would have an influence
like this upon him. Kyuhyun felt pure happiness at his newly found discovery. He leaned
over to Sungmin and subconsciously gave him a quick peck on his cheek.
Kyuhyun froze as soon as he realized what he was doing, and instantly bolted back into
his seat. How could he do that to Sungmin? An unconscious, sleeping, innocent… funny,
cute -- Oh shisus Kyuhyun, what on earth happened to you? He silently slapped
himself and sent quick glances to the others around him, trying to decipher their faces to
find out whether they had seen his quick exchange with Sungmin. Kyuhyun took a breath
with relief when the others seemed to have witnessed nothing of the sort.
Sinking back into his seat, Kyuhyun smiled lightly to himself. He kissed Sungmin.
He began squealing silently to himself like a little kid who had won a yearly supply
of chocolate. This, my fellow readers, was the strong effect Lee Sungmin had on people.

“WE’RE HERE!”
“Yes, I am very much aware of that Sungmin,” Kyuhyun winced as the loud shriek the
other had given blasted into his ear drums. Even though he had previously had a silent
moment of cheering for his newly found affection towards Sungmin, he decided that he
should act like he normally did.
“Hurry up and get up Kyu! You’re blocking my way!” Sungmin pouted impatiently. The
long 4 hour drive had made his butt sore.
“I thought you didn’t even want to come,” Kyuhyun replied calmly as he picked up his
belongings around him and proceeded to get off the bus. He found it incredibly easy to
hide his feelings towards the oblivious other.
“When did I ever say that?” Sungmin asked innocently.
“Don’t you hate camping? Don’t you hate nature? And don’t you hate bugs?” Kyuhyun
asked, repeating the things the other had found hatred in and stated when the class first
found out about the camping trip. “but especially, don’t you hate me?”
Sungmin grinned and proudly held up a bottle of bug spray. “Camping’s not that bad.
Nature is alright. I’ve got the bugs covered. And you’re… tolerate able.”
“We’re camping for 4 days. That single bottle isn’t going to cover it up,” Ryeowook
replied wisely.
“I know~” Sungmin replied happily unzipping his bag to reveal at least a dozen cans of
bug repellant. “How many bottles did you bring Wookie?”
“None,” Ryeowook grinned. “I like bugs.”
Instantly, Sungmin whipped out a can and sprayed Ryeowook non stop.
“W-Wait cough I like cough bugs!” Ryeowook cried as he tried
swatting away the spray.
“I know,” Sungmin replied, finally lifting his finger off the button. “But if you’re going
to stay with us, this is for my safety.”
“Come on you guys! We’re assigning log cabins!” the teacher called out over a speaker phone.
“I better not get into a cabin with him,” Sungmin said jabbing his thumb at Kyuhyun.
“I want to share a cabin with you!” Ryeowook smiled up at Sungmin.
“Me too Wookie~!” Sungmin grinned happily.
“Are the cabins going to be coed?!” a boy called out.
“I want to share with Sungmin Oppa~!” a girl called out.
A chorus of girls immediately agreed with her.
“I thought we were camping, aren’t we supposed to be using tents and stuff?” Eunhyuk called it with a side glance at Donghae. “It’s more kinky.”
“Yah! Lee Hyuk Jae, shut your mouth!” Donghae exclaimed flushing bright red.
“You know you want it~!” Eunhyuk winked. “I don’t want the cabins to be coed~!”
“You’ll find out~!” the TA replied, obviously ignoring the disturbing bit between the
Eunhae couple. “Cabin 1! Choi Sooyoung, Kim Tae-yeon, Kwon Yuri, Choi Sulli, Goo Ha-ra…”
“And last but not least, Lee…”
Everybody around Sungmin took a sharp intake. They wouldn’t actually stick Sungmin
with a bunch of girls would they? Kyuhyun glanced at the other nervously.
“Sun…”
Oh please no. Kyuhyun grimaced as he felt sweat appearing on his forehead.
“-ny!”
Thank you Shisus! Kyuhyun thought as he let out the breath he had been unconsciously holding.
The other girls apart of the cabin were sending Sunny death glares. Obviously they were
holding onto the shred of hope that Sungmin actually might have been their cabin mate.
“Cabin 2~! Kim Youngwoon (kangin) , Kim Jongwoon (Yesung), Cho Kyuhyun-”
Kyuhyun took another sharp intake when he heard his name, and eyed Sungmin out of
the corner of his eye.
“- Shim Changmin, Kim Junsu…”
Kyuhyun held onto the last shred of hope as the other cabin members were announced,
his hope getting dimmer and dimmer till the last name was about to be called.
“Lee…”
His happiness soared through the roof. Praise the lord! Kyuhyun felt as if he was
dancing peaceful in a field of yellow sunflowers, with the wind blowing ever so lightly
through his hair…
“Hyuk Jae.(Eunhyuk)”
…A meteor came soaring through the sky and hit him on the head.
“Noo~! Unfair! UNFAIR! I should be with my hae baby!” Eunhyuk shouted with protest
as he ran to hug his lover.
“Suck it up,” the TA replied as she stuck out her tongue. “Cabin 3~! Lee Dong hae, Park
Jungsu (Leeteuk), Kim Ryeowook, Kim Kibum(Key), Choi Siwon, and Lee Sungmin.”
Lucky bastards Kyuhyun thought bitterly.
“We’re in the same cabin Wookie~!” Sungmin grinned happily. “Let’s go unpack our
stuff!”
Ryeowook nodded happily and turned to Kyuhyun and Yesung. “Bye you guys!”
“Don’t fight~!” Sungmin called out as he ran off to his cabin while dragging Ryeowook behind him.
Kyuhyun sighed and reluctantly trudged to his assigned cabin.
“YAH. I call bottom bunk. Anybody who wants it has to go through me,” Kangin glared
the minute all 6 of them were in the cramped cabin.
“Go ahead,” Changmin waved carelessly. “That’s where all the forest spirits feast anyways.”
Kangin turned to him slowly with a dark look on his face. “… Forest… spirits?”
Changmin nodded. “They feast on your toes and your soul,” he replied as he began to
climb the ladder to the upper bunk.
“I want top bunk,” Kangin demanded as he roughly pulled Changmin off the ladder and
climbed it up himself.
“If you want~” Changmin replied as he happily laid his stuff on the bottom bunk.
“My poor Donghae,” Eunhyuk said pitifully as he claimed a top bunk. “How can he cope
without me?”
“Top bunk~!” Junsu called out happily as he claimed a top bunk too.
Kyuhyun put his stuff on the bottom bunk and sighed as he began to unpack, wondering
how Sungmin was living in the cabin next door.

“What bunk do you guys want? I’m okay with whichever,” Leeteuk said with an Umma
like tone to the other members of the cabin.
“I want the bottom one~!” Sungmin claimed happily as he tossed his stuff onto the bed.
“The top one is scary.”
“I’m getting a top bunk, and nobody better argue,” Key announced as he swung his stuff
dramatically over to the top bunk.
“I like the top one too,” Donghae agreed as he practically ran up the ladder “If
Eunhyukkie was here, he would make me take the bottom one and tell me how unsafe it
is up there.”
“I prefer top as well,” Siwon said as he tossed his stuff up onto the top bunk. “It makes
me closer to god.”
“Oh thank shisus, I have a bottom bunk,” Leeteuk said happily as he laid his things down. “I have to go to the bathroom a lot, so this is much more convenient to me.”
“I like bottom bunk too,” Ryeowook smiled as he claimed the bed next to Sungmin.
After the cabins finished their unpacking, they all gathered outside to eat. After dinner,
they were all sent to their cabins to go to sleep, despite the protests of the campers, and
the fact that there was still a bit of light out..
“It’s only 8:00,” Donghae muttered as he laid in bed wide awake after several attempts to
try to sleep. “How the heck are we supposed to fall asleep?”
“God made it dark because he wanted us to sleep,” Siwon replied simply, and after a few
minutes, his silent snores could be heard throughout the cabin.
“Why’d we have to get the religious guy,” Donghae muttered to himself.
“Teukie~” Sungmin called out cutely.
“Yes Min?” Leeteuk asked; not a hint of sleepiness was in his voice.
“I can’t sleep~!” Sungmin replied. Even though the cabin was dark, all of them knew that
he had a huge pout shaped on his lips.
“None of us can,” Donghae replied matter of factly.
“What should we do then?” Ryeowook asked as he sat up; giving up the idea of falling asleep.
“Let’s talk about our first love!” Key said excitedly as he leaned over to turn on the desk
lamp before propping himself on his elbows.
“First love…?” Sungmin repeated. He felt somebody’s face instantly pop into his mind, yet, he couldn’t decipher who it was.
“Okay~!” Donghae agreed happily. “Who’s first?”
“What about you Teukie Teuk? You’re super old, so you must have had at least one love
story in your life,” Key called out.
“YAH! I’m not even that old” Leeteuk muttered to himself. “But yes. I have had a first love.”
“Tell us~!” Sungmin said excitingly.
“Eh? I don’t know…”
Protests filled the room.
“Fine!” Leeteuk sighed and began his past story. “It was a long time ago… in the 18th
century maybe…?”
“How old the fuck are you?!” Key exclaimed incredulously.
“I’m kidding,” Leeteuk replied as he shot a glare at Key. “Anyways, it was in the 9th
grade, and I was the new kid at school. I was mistreated a lot, and people took advantage
of my kindness and made me do their chores and homework because they knew I
wouldn’t be able to reject. This continued on for a couple of weeks, and then one day, my
classmate told me to go clean the classroom because he had gotten in trouble and his
punishment was to do it but he wanted to go out on a date with his girl friend.
And of course, I couldn’t deny, so I went to the janitors closet to get the supplies and
when I came back to the classroom, that guy was all beaten up. He looked at me
sheepishly at first, embarrassed to be caught, but then he went up to me and said that if
anybody tried to boss me around that he’d beat them up for me,” Leeteuk said with a
smile as he recalled the memory. “I fell in love with him right away. We became friends,
and eventually became lovers.”
All the guys (except siwon) gaped at Leeteuk.
“Who was it?!” Ryeowook exclaimed.
“Do we know him?!” Donghae cried.
Leeteuk giggled and blushed as he nodded sheepishly. “Kangin.”
Silence flew throughout the cabin.
“WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!” Key exclaimed.
“HE’S YOUR LOVER?!” Donghae yelled.
“OHMISHISUS!” Sungmin cried out.
“What’s wrong with Kangin?” Leeteuk asked curiously.
The other members of the cabin all exchanged looks.
“Nothing hyung, Kangin’s a perfectly fine guy,” Ryeowook said.
“Liar, what’s wrong with him?” Leeteuk demanded.
“Nothing Teukie. He’s a greeeeat guy,” Sungmin replied with a stifled laugh.
“Fine Minnie. Who’s your first love then?” Leeteuk huffed. “If you even have one.”
“Of course I have,” Sungmin replied.
“Of course what?” Ryeowook asked slowly. “You don’t mean…”
“I’ve already had my first love.”
