you cancel the grantis membership. In my case it's as simple as going to a place a few blocks from my work. In your case you call them

i just signed up, but i didn't get an email conformation so i don't know if i did it right.

They apparently don't send e-mails on the weekend so I'd wait until tuesday to cancel. That's what I'm doing at least. My Card's been charged so I know it went through.
