look who's updating!!

it's so weird, i still check this thing just about every day, but i never make a contribution. i suppose this springs from my basic underlying knowledge that my life is boring and no one wants to read about it, but then i think about how i enjoy reading about everyone else's lives no matter how uninteresting they are.
so yes, here's my entry. i'm back at school, in a SINGLE this year, which is awesome because i can throw my stuff on the floor, or run around naked, and no one will ever know or care. i am surrounded by freshmen, but they're nice freshmen for the most part. one of my next door neighbors is from lebanon! he started teaching a course in arabic, so i joined it, so now i'm taking arabic! it's really hard because they've got a whole different alphabet and everything, but i like it. it's a good challenge.
the weird thing about this year is that so many people are gone! most of my friends are studying abroad, so it's like a whole different place here. it's alright, though.
aaand, i have a car-- my aunt violet let me borrow her 1990 chevy cavalier with a jesus on the dashboard for a few months. it's really awesome to have a way to get around. actually, jon and i might be taking a trip out to niagara falls sometime for our 5 year anniversary! we don't have any long weekends together, though, so i dunno.. we'll see how that goes.
